Leh is a beautiful barren desert situated at 3,505
meters above sea level in lap of the Great Himalayas. Leh is the
main tourist gateway, its the largest town in the Ladakh region.

Ladakh means the land of high

A Buddhist saint, Dha Chomba Nomegung came from Kashmir and prayed
for the existence of human life there. His prayes were listen and
water receded, giving way to mountains and valleys. Then came three
different races i.e. Mon, Brokpa,and Tibetans in search of pasture
and settled down in different region.
